The Perfect Cake by Shirley

The first time in my life that I actually took a second piece of a cake was a cake from Shirley - they are delicious! Since we ordered our first cake from Shirley we have never looked anywhere else, we just call her. We always look forward to the next celebration so we can order again. It is absolutely amazing what she can do with a cake. Shirley, we LOVE your cakes!

The custom snake cake was a huge hit! My nephew's eyes were so wide when he saw the cake...all the kids and adults loved it! Thank you so much for making my adorable baby shower cake! It was so pretty and the color was dead-on- something that has never happened before in the cakes I've ordered from other bakeries. I literally got compliments from EVERY person who attended, on the beauty of the cake- and there were over 50 people there. Imagine our surprise when we tasted it and it was the best tasting cake! Your cake is AMAZING. Years ago I had a cat who was addicted to his prescription toothpaste. I have no idea what was in it, but his pupils would dilate when he saw the tube and he would do anything for it. It's how we were able to give him shots and dialysis when he was old. I was worried because a few years ago my mom got a decorated cake for a baby shower and it looked nice on the outside but tasted awful. Your cake was sooooo yummy. The coconut cake part was soft, moist and very delicious. The ganache was perfect in the middle. You also made the buttercream frosting so incredibly smooth that it looked like fondant but tasted wonderful. I even found myself picking off the fondant polka dots because they were tasty too! I have to say, I think this cake knocked it out of the park!!! Parents were asking for slices to take home to their other kids (or the parent that got left behind), so it was a huge hit! I thought the density of the cake itself was outstanding - very rich and the hint of almond really made it sing. And the chocolate buttercream was incredible (lots of the kids started at the middle and ate their way out). And the frosting was a huge hit too -- not too sweet (lots of kids with yellow faces at the end.) All in all, I thought it was amazing. Something about the combination was just spectacular.

The cake made for my BF's daughter 18th birthday was amazing. Shirley took my ideas on cakes I liked in her photos and the flavorings from the birthday girl into a master piece for her and her friends to enjoy. They all thought it was the best cake ever with their ooos and ahhhs when they all arrived and they ate so much of it. Cake arrived at requested delivery time, everything was perfect. I don't think we could have made her 18th birthday any better. Thanks Shirley!!

Your cake was a huge hit! It was by far the best looking cake in the group and kids were literally lined up for her cake more than the others! Her coach stole 2 cookies to show his wife & daughter, and of course, I gave him a chunk of the cake to take home as well! The athletic director had to sample most of the cakes and gave yours the 1st place in design and taste! The Logo Bluejay was just unbelievably perfect! Thank you! It was a pleasure working with you!

First, Shirley is extremely responsive and attentive, which is very much appreciated! Second, I ordered a very special promotion cake for a coworker and provided a few pictures and general idea of how I wanted the cake to look. Shirley nailed the design 100% and was punctual with delivery. But MOST importantly.... the cake was so delicious! Everyone raved about this cake, 10/10 would recommend and order again!
